The staff at Hopeful Beginnings is always looking for ways to provide support to the mothers in our community who are in need of a safe space and a message of hope and encouragement. Our current pandemic is leaving many of us lacking in connections with others. Through our counseling that we provide mothers in our community who are experiencing anxiety or depression whether before or after pregnancy or are struggling with the adjustment to motherhood in general, we have found there are many mothers at home with their little ones right now who feel very alone and unseen. This is heartbreaking to think about as our mothers in our communities are the ones right now who need to feel lifted up and heard.
With this in mind, Hopeful Beginnings offers a free virtual support group for moms in the community. Our group ‘Mom Talk’ meets every Wednesday at 11AM and is facilitated by one of the agency’s welcoming social workers. Mom Talk is an open group so if you find yourself open on an available Wednesday morning, don’t be shy to join in. Our support group utilizes the Zoom virtual platform.
If you know someone or you are interested in joining one of our virtual support groups, please contact our staff atÂ
