Birth Parent Support

The emotions that birth parents feel are ones that others may not understand.  Having intense feelings of grief and loss are not uncommon.  Finding a safe place to express yourself and finding support can help you begin the healing process. It is crucial to know that you are not alone. Support groups and resources are available to those who have placed their child for adoption.

St. Mary’s works in partnership with other organizations and support groups to provide birth mothers the support they need.  In addition to these groups, our maternity counselors are available for counseling to those birth parents who have placed through St. Mary’s. Our agency offers lifelong counseling to birth parents, whether they placed today or 30 years ago.
